Employee-Initiated VARs

Visitor Access Requests are a regular headache for security managers. It is a cumbersome process to collect all the required information from employees (often over email 😭) then file that to JPAS or to a recipient directly.

Employees can now complete a Visitor Access Request directly in ThreatSwitch, which requires employees enter all required fields so that you do not need to handle the back-and-forth hassle of collecting the right information at the right time.

Once an employee has submitted a request, the appropriate security managers will be automatically notified via email and have a ThreatSwitch Inbox message alerting them that action needs to be taken. In ThreatSwitch security managers can view the information and track the process of getting the request into JPAS or directly to an IC or other customer.

A few other items:

  • Fixed some issues caused by Internet Explorer
  • Resolved a problem where personnel views were appearing blank
  • Eliminated an obsolete column for comments in the reportable info table
  • A host of other little fixes and improvements to make ThreatSwitch a friendlier place
